Recall mechanism comparison
Memory pages differ in what must be retained and whether order matters. Compare only matching versions, because a digit length, grid level, color sequence, and N-back accuracy are different quantities.
Visual Memory shows locations together and accepts recall in any order. Working Memory reveals ordered grid positions. Memory Sequence uses four repeating colors. Number Memory uses a typed string. Dual N-Back requires ongoing comparison rather than end-of-list recall.
None of these pages provides clinical norms, IQ, memory age, or a diagnosis. Interface familiarity, grouping strategy, cue pace, screen size, and input method remain part of the outcome.
Choose Visual Memory for an unordered set of locations. Choose Working Memory or Memory Sequence when the presentation order must be reproduced. Choose Number Memory when the material itself is a serial digit string.
Dual N-Back does not ask for the entire stream after it ends. Each cue is compared with exactly N cues earlier across separate position and letter channels, producing hits, misses, and false alarms.
Exposure time, sequence length, spacing, N level, and progressive rules affect difficulty. Use the task's underlying counts and avoid combining different pages into one overall memory score.
